The last breaths of summer saw a heavy metal legend wind down in Mexico City after two thunderous years of sold-out concerts around the globe. But little did we know, they had a surprise up their sleeve. Brace yourselves, headbangers. Metallica has officially announced YEAR THREE of their "M72" World Tour! The 2025 slate features a sky-splitting show LIVE at the Commanders Field on May 28, one of the most anticipated dates out of 21 planned for North American fans. Presented by inKind and produced by Live Nation, the band’s revived road trip will bring an all-time great cast of guest acts, ready to blow the arena’s stage into the stratosphere with the fiercest metal music you’ve ever heard.

In the round at the 50-yard line of Landover’s premier sports arena, James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett, and Robert Trujillo of the Grammy Award-winning Metallica will shake you right to the bone. The "M72" concert will play rave-received singles from their Billboard 200 top-charting eleventh album. Singularly focused on authentic, evocative gloom, records like "Sleepwalk My Life Away," "Lux Æterna," and the titular "72 Seasons" (which won Best Metal Performance at the 66th Grammys) will leave you reeling from their titanium impact.

The Metallica mayhem will ensue beyond these latest offerings as this event pays riotous homage to 40+ YEARS of the best-selling heavy metal band of all time. Expect multi-platinum classics in the devilish likes of "Enter Sandman," "One," "Master of Puppets," "Fuel," "Nothing Else Matters" and "The Unforgiven," with special B-side fare to delight more avid followers.

Pantera of Grammy Award-nominated "Cemetery Gates" and "I’m Broken" fame will bare down on you, predator to prey, with the platinum-fanged hits that cornered the 1990s’ groove metal movement, such as "Walk" and "Cowboys from Hell." Biting at their heels are the "fathers of crossover thrash" themselves, Suicidal Tendencies.
